President Xi of China will be making a trip of three days in duration to Washington D.C. as part of a state visit where he will engage in critical bilateral discussions with his counterpart President Donald Trump of the United States of America. The discussion is aimed at resolving the growing conflict between the two nations which includes imposition of high tariffs, limitations of technology including artificial intelligence chips and rare earths, and the end of a temporary trade deal soon. In spite of a marked decline in the bilateral trade between the two nations and a higher trade deficit for the US, China maintains a healthy export surplus around the world.
